SA5 Retarder is used with spray or brush applications and is designed to slow down the dry-time of Target waterbase finishes during certain ambient conditions. Very often it is difficult to maintain a proper "wet edge" when brushing, or a longer lasting wet fil when sprayed on so finishes level out smooth. By adding 5% to 10% by volume of SA5 (do not exceed 15%) the finisher can control the drying behavior of the finish. We have learned that a 10% addition of SA5 makes turbine-driven HVLP spray equipment handle Target products like glass. After the addition of SA5 mix well, than let set for 1 hour.Check for proper dispersion before using. if not dispersed properly, mix and let set another hour.DO NOT USE SA5 in EmTech Series of Finishes.
